William Thomas Williams

William Thomas Williams Sr. (Bill) 81 of Owensboro went to meet his maker on June 30, 2009. He was born in Owensboro, was retired from MPD, worked many years at GE in Owensboro, and Louisville, KY as an Electronic Technician. He was a Sergeant in the Air Force during the Korean Conflict Era. He loved spending time with family and friends, playing poker, telling jokes and laughing about past and present events. He will be greatly missed by many friends and family who loved him very much.He was preceded in death by his father Thomas E. Williams of Murray, his mother, Ruby Z. Johnson of Louisville, his wife of 47 years Joyce B. Williams of Owensboro, a brother James K. Johnson (Jim) of Louisville, and an infant daughter Brenda Sue Williams.Survivors include a son William Thomas Williams, Jr. (Buddy) of Utica, two daughters, Pamela W. Bartlett and Brenda W. Hillard both of Owensboro, a brother, Martin Ray Johnson of Louisville, a sister, Barbara Faye Rowland of Owensboro, a daughter-in-law, Carla E. Williams of Utica, 2 son-in-laws, Charles Bartlett and David Hillard both of Owenboro, also a greatly loved companion Betty Camp of Owensboro was left behind, along with 5 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and 2 more due soon who will not get the honor of meeting this wonderful man. Services will be at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, July 6, 2009 at James H. Davis Funeral Home Chapel in Owensboro. Entombment will follow at Rosehill Cemetery with Military Honors conducted by the U.S. Air Force. Visitation is from 10:00 am until time of service on Monday.
