William D. Winston II

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Bill. He was a great person to sit and talk to and he will be missed.

I will certainly miss my friend, William, but his legacy will live on in those whom he inspired. He hired me in 1980 even though he really didn't have anything for me to do. He insisted I call him "William" as "Mr. Winston" referred to his dad. He taught me in his words and in his ways to always treat all people with the same amount of respect. He also taught by example the value of generosity, even to a fault. These are lessons I have tried to apply to my life and now impact my family on a daily basis. Thanks William.

I was very sorry to hear of the passing of William Winston. He was always so kind to me. When they were blooming, he kept beautiful roses on my desk in the courthouse.

Derek, I was so sorry to hear about your Dad. We went to school together and were real good friends. I know you don't remember me, but I am Virginia's sister. I will be thinking about you and know you will always remember the good times you all had.

Darac, Hey sorry to read about the passing of your dad. He was such a funny man. I can remember campaining for him in 1979-1980 while he was running for state rep. You where driving the "The Big Green Van"around and Mary Ann Cowart, Sandy West, and I were handing out things and then we also would go to small towns around the area and ride in their little parades. I still remember all of us on top of the van throwin candy to to people at the parade and we were waunderin while they were all laughin at us and so finally I looked down inside the van at you and you had green gummy bears hangin out of your nose. We all said you better stop cause if your dad finds out you will be in trouble. So from then own and still now I can not eat a green gummy bear without thinkin about that.
