During the last decade of his life, Bill was in a Precept Ministries class with me for several years at Grace Community Chapel. Once each week, 3-15 of us would gather around a quiet table and talk about the Bible for a few hours.

During the coffee/donut breaks, and before and after the class, I recall having innumerable conversations with Bill about a wide variety of subjects. He always brought things back to God and family, but he never shied away from discussing my tough questions, too. I could tell he respected me, and he cared about me, and on more than one occasion, I believe he even told me so. Speaking with Bill was always a relief and a pleasure, and because of those moments, he absolutely made my life a better place to be.

Few people are truly good people. But Bill Wolfe was indeed a good man. His kids should be proud to be the bearers of his genes. And proud of their memories of him, good and bad, memories of a man trying his best to guide them along, through the pitfalls and rewards of this world and of the next.
