WILLIE JAMES BECOAT

Willie James Becoat FLORENCE - Funeral service for Mr. Willie James Becoat will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Friday, August 23, 2013 at Trinity A.M.E. Church in Pamplico, SC. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens. He died on Thursday, August 15, 2013 at a local hospital after an illness. Willie was born October 25, 1928 in Pamplico, SC to Henry and Novella R. Becoat. He attended the public schools of Florence County. He was formerly employed with Marsh Lumber Company in Pamplico, from which he retired. He was a member of Trinity African Methodist Episcopal Church, where he faithfully served until his health declined. In addition to his parents, Willie was preceded in death by his wife, Percile Robinson Becoat; four siblings, Fronie B. Timmons, Henry A. Becoat, Jr., Delores Becoat, and Robert Lee Becoat. Survivors are: six child-ren, Marshall D. (Joy) Becoat, Marilyn C. (Eddie) Royal, Timothy J. Becoat, John W. Becoat, Willie Charles Becoat, and Marshield A. (Douglas) Mention; an adopted daughter, Cynthia R. Guiles; eight grand-children; nine great-grand-children; four brothers; three sisters; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended loved ones and a very special friend, Ms. Mary Capers. Visitation with the family will be from 6:00 - 8:00 this evening at Trinity A.M.E. Church and other times at the home, 1812 N. Pamplico Highway, Pamp-lico.
