My Condolences to the Gregory family, may Willie Russell Gregory Rest in peace. "Chops", as they began calling him in his late youth ( because of his short choppy stride when he ran track). Willie and I were friends since Kindergarten. We attended Pulaski School from kindergarten to the 9th grade, and remained friends for life. May he RIP. Willie, was one of the nicest people a person could meet. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it. If he was your friend, he was a true friend. he will be missed.

We are heartbroken after learning the news of our good friend Russell Gregory. We extend our deepest prayers and condolences to the family.

"Chops" will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him. You couldn´t have met a nicer, kind, and lovable person with a big heart. He was always such a happy go lucky type of guy who was fun to be around. My Sincerest Prayers & Condolences go out to his entire family. He´s absent from the body but present with the Lord.

I remember Mr. Gregory as a child when he use to deliver beverages on the supply truck. I would say Hi Chops. And without breaking his stride he would always say, "Hey, hey what's happening." Later in adulthood I would affectionately refer to him as Uncle Willie. He always had a kind word for my parents and they him as he greeted them with a warm smile. His pain is no longer and he may now rest in peace.
