The first time that Karen and I met Mr. Grubb it was as if he had been a family friend for life. He never had an unkind word for anyone, and gave so much to others. Mr. W.O. will be missed, but his memory for doing good deeds will live forever in the hearts of those who knew him. In deep respect to a wonderful person. Respectfully, Denny and Karen Hilton

Willie Grubb was one of the kindest and sweetest men I have ever met. He treated me like I was family. I remember visiting him and Tee in their home and sitting for hours just talking. It makes it a little easier to know he and Tee are up there in heaven catching up on their time apart. Willie, you will definately be missed.

My thoughts and prayers are with Willie's family. Willie and Tee spent many hours in Countryside Restaurant, the restaurant where I was the manager.. We had many laughs and long talks when they were in Bracey. They were ever so kind to me and invited me to their home when I was going through a dark time in my life. I will always respect and love Willie Grubb. He was a wonderful man with a great big heart and smile.

I've known Willie Grubb all of my life. My earliest memories are of him and my father shooting pool in our basement. I remember Willie jumping into his swimming pool to save Marvin after accidentally falling in. Willie always did things for other people. He did things for other people without any expectation of anything in return. When he and my mom fell in love in the mid 70's, he accepted me and my brother as his own children. In my late 20's we became close when Willie offered me a life changing career working with my hands as a mechanic, something I had always wanted to do, from digging ditches to repairing old equipment, to laying brick, to wiring electricity, to welding metal, to rebuilding engines. He passed down a life's worth of knowledge from one generation to the next that I am now able to pass onto my children. Recognizing some talent, whether worthy or not, he was instrumental in me becoming a part of W.O .Grubb Company, where I got to experience amazing opportunities to witness enormous industrial achievements in moving, lifting, repairing some of the largest and most complex repairs in the world. After leaving W.O. Grubb, Willie always the better man, accepted the changes I made in my life accepting my second wife and her family into his heart as he would his own children. In late 2006 he and mom came to my house, sat down with Heather and me and said mom had lung cancer. It sounds terrible, but it began three years of the closest time I ever spent with my mother and Willie. Three wonderful years that ended with the passing of my mother and a new chapter in all of our lives. We had all been in hospitals together since the early 80's with Willie's heart troubles, and when a man has a heart as big as Willie's, it obviously has to work harder than the rest of ours. Even though mom's passing was the loss of his soul mate, he would still take time out of his life to come see me and visit my father when his health was not stellar. I know my mom loved Willie Grubb, I know my wife loved Willie Grubb, my children loved Willie Grubb and I loved Willie Grubb. He will be missed.

Uncle Willie was one of those people that did so much for so many, and because of that, he will be missed by so many.
He didn't leave behind just family and friends, he left a legacy.
He was so caring, loving, understanding...
there just aren't enough words to describe him.
Anyone that knew him would agree.
I will see him smiling when I think of him, because I know he would want us all to smile.
My heart goes out to the entire Grubb family, the family at W.O. Grubb Crane Rental, and all of the acquaintances, and friends, that were blessed and touched by him in their lives.
We were truly blessed to know such a man.
Rest in Peace, Uncle Willie...we will all see you again when the Lord has us join you in Heaven.
