Willie Franklin Jackson

So sorry to hear of the passing of this great man. I don't live in Murray anymore, so I don't read the obituaries in the paper. Mr. Jackson was my principal at Robertson Elementary in the early 80s and I had Wayne Jackson for math in 94 and 95 at Murray High. For whomever reads this, I thought that Mr. Jackson was truly an amazing human being and he will be missed!

My mother, Lucy Lilly, taught Willie at Almo High School. They were later colleagues at Murray High, and he was one of my class sponsors at MHS. He was such a fine man....was always one of Mother's favorites!

MY DEAR FRIEND AND NEIGHBOR WILLIE. I LIVED ACROSS THE STREET FROM YOU BACK A WHILE ON GLENDALE ROAD. I STILL HAVE ALL THE GARDENING THINGS YOU GAVE ME. I WILL BRING YOUR TOMATOES TO YOUR SON . I was sorry to read about Willie. He and I worked together for several years. I was with Fulton City and he with Murray. My thoughts and prayers are with all the family.

I thought the world of Mr. Jackson. I went to MHS from 1970 to 1974 . He was a great superintent for MHS . Im so sorry for your loss. He was well respected at school.
