Mrs. Willie Mae Alexander Herron

Mrs. Willie Mae Alexander Herron, age 74, of Eastanollee, GA, passed away Saturday, February 11, 2017 at her home. Born August 28, 1942 in Habersham County, GA, she was a daughter of the late Herschel Carter and Dora Belle Clark Alexander. She was a member of Toms Creek Baptist Church and was retired from Georgia Baptist Assembly. Family members include sisters and brothers-in-law, Wilma Vinson of Toccoa, Faye and Bobby Crane of Eastanollee, and Joan and John Standridge of Martin; two step-daughters, Ophelia McConnell of Evans, GA and Amelia (Calvin) Culpepper of Toccoa; and several step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. G. P. Herron; step-son, Fain Herron; sister, Rebecca Bradshaw; and brothers, John A. Alexander, Carl Alexander, and James Alexander. Funeral services will be held at two o'clock Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at Toms Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Wayne Marcus and the Rev. Jerrell Beatty officiating. Burial will follow at Toms Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers; Richard Griffin, Bryan King, Seth Duvall, Wayne Herron, David King, and Stephen Wallace. The family will receive friends at the mortuary from 5pm – 8pm Monday, February 13, 2017. Whitlock Mortuary is in charge of the arrangements.
