Willie Perry Obituary
Willie Perry Jr., better known as DJ Casper, was a Chicago disc jockey and songwriter best known as the creator of the party favorite "Cha Cha Slide." He died of cancer August 7, 2023, at the age of 58.

My memory of Casper is when we were teenagers skating at Skate City and the Rink. Casper used to take the time out to show me different moves and tricks on my skate, and use to holler at me when I will mess up. The things that I learned from him are my skates I still do today. This has been a very hard thing to accept, but I wouldn't want anyone to have to suffer the pain of cancer. I thank God for sharing his child with the world through doing the cha slide. Through this song-and-dance it brings so many people together and that was one of his talents and his gifts. And I thank God for sharing him with the world. I also thank God that our spirits met with each other through skating, and teaching me how to skate. Casper you will truly be missed but never forgotten. R.I.P. until we meet again. To his wife Kim and the rest of his family, you have my deepest condolence, And no the God never makes any mistakes, and thank you for sharing him with all of us. God bless you all.
