Willis L. Coleman, Jr., 66, of Cambridge passed away suddenly at his home on Monday, January 25, 2021. He was born in Cambridge on March 31, 1954 and was a son of the late Willis L. Coleman, Sr. and V. Jeanette Dean Coleman.

Mr. Coleman graduated from Cambridge High School class of 1972. He served in the U.S. Army. On March 6, 1976, he married the former Cindy Mitchell. Mr. Coleman worked as a commercial waterman. He was an avid lead guitarist for many local bands and Bay Country Church. Mr. Coleman was a coach for Little League baseball and middle school football. He was a member of Dorchester County Football Alumni Association.

He is survived by his wife Cindy Mitchell Coleman of Cambridge, a son Coach Jake W. Coleman and wife Melanie of Ocean City, three grandsons Brycen Leonard, Blaine Willis and Brock Donald Coleman, a sister Linda Elliott (Bobby) of Trappe, two brothers Garry L. Coleman (Lisa) of Cambridge and Chuck Coleman (Mary) of Cambridge, brother in law Dennis Mitchell (Michelle) of Cambridge, three sisters in law JoAnn Lee (Les) of Palmer, Alaska, Sandy Willing (Steve) of Macon, GA, Reese Dawson (Wade) of Cambridge, former sister in law Barbara L. Coleman of Cambridge, mother in law Pat E. Todd of Cambridge, and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Mr. Coleman is preceded in death by his father in law C. Gordon Mitchell.

Per Willis's request, a celebration of life and prayer service will be held on Sunday, January 31, 2021 from 2 to 3 at Great Marsh with Pastor Jayson Bleyer of Bay Country Church officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to the Brycen, Blaine and Brock Coleman Scholarship Fund, c/o Cindy M. Coleman, to 1880 Bank, P.O. Box 550, Cambridge, MD 21613. Arrangements are in the care of the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
