What a dear, wonderful, kind, and thoughtful lady! She sent our family Christmas and Easter arrangements for years- just out of the generosity of her heart! She definitely touched our family and especially me! She will be sorely missed- my deepest sympathies to you all!

So sorry to hear the passing of "Mom" Edwards. She was a very special lady. While dating Chris in high school, I had the pleasure of spending quite a bit of time with Dody. She was the greatest!
Even years after Chris and I had gone our separate ways, Dody never forgot my sister (who still lives in Boise) and she made sure the Christmas Poinsettas made their way to my sister's table.
What a wonderful lady - may God bless you.

Dody was a pleasure to take care of. She taught me about baseball, she shared stories with me from all periods of her life. We would laugh and joke. I loved every minute that I spent with her and she was an incredible woman, just knowing her is an honor. Being able to spend the last 6 months with her was an honor.

I'm so sorry to hear of Dody's passing. She was always a welcome bright spot at Edwards, working for her, and with her, was my pleasure. My thoughts and prayers are with you Garnette, and all of your family.

To the extended family and community of Wilma J. Edwards,
Please accept my deepest condolences on the loss of this extra-ordinary human being and matriarch. Although I regret never having had the good fortune to meet Wilma J. Edwards (of blessed memory), the warm memories shared in this loving daughter's loveliest obit, beginning with the most felicitous 'lede' this ol' newshound has ever delighted in hearing read aloud and then reading again and again carries the presence of a remarkable soul. Additional remarkably vivid memoirs & anecdotes were shared by Wilma Edwards' loving grand-daughter Elise, here in Portland, Ore.
I feel lucky to have been able to learn of Wilma's eventful life and the myriad ways such a marvelous soul imbued her world with the kind of joyful spirit our macro world too often feels lacking in. May this matriarch & Greenhouse Keeper's spirit remain present and rippling through the lives of all she touched like the sound of photosynthesis.
In colorful sympathy,
Mitchito

So very sorry for your loss. I grew up hearing her name and seeing her from time to time helping my grandmother when I was very little. What a beautiful and lasting legacy she has left behind! You are all in our thoughts and prayers.
