Ocala - Wilma Marlene Jayne, 91, of Ocala, FL, died Sunday, March 31, 2024 at HCA Florida Ocala Hospital.

She was born November 2,1932 in Victoria, MS. She moved to Nashville, TN where she lived for over 50 years serving as the Administrative Assistant to three different chairmen of the Biochemistry Department to Ocala in 2022. While there, she was a member of the Nobel Peace Prize team headed up by Dr. Stanley Cohen. She enjoyed the outdoors as she was an avid Jeeper traveling many times out west on rock crawling trips. Upon retiring, she moved to Ocala, Fl. She is survived by her two sons William 'Bill" (Cindi) Jayne of Ocala, FL, Victor Eric (Dana) Jayne of Smyrna, TN, seven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren and her sister-in-law Susan.

She was preceded in death by her brother William 'Bud" Morrow. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society on their web site or by calling 800-227-2345. Cremation arrangements were handled by Florida Cremation Society, Ocala, FL.
