Willie's life was one of wonderful contribution and service. She will always be an example of superior Christian commitment. Rest in well deserved glory.

I am the sister of Ellen Newton Duell who was a good friend of Willie and Dick. She and her late husband, Seth Duell, were members of the Congregation For Reconciliation in Dayton. I first met Willie and Dick in 2007 when they came to worship with Ellen and Seth in Yellow Springs which they did once/month. It was a meaningful experience for me. They came again in 2012 to worship at Ellen's home when I was visiting. How I wish I had known then what I know now about Willie's life and could have chatted more with her, but I'm deeply moved by reading about her and very grateful to have met both her and Dick. She was a person who exemplifies Margaret Mead's statement that a small group of people can create meaningful change in the world. Such small groups include dedicated people like Willie.
