My wife is a niece to Mr. Smith's brother Max. I personally never met Mr. Smith. However I felt it appropriate to mention what I have heard about him all my life from my father and more than a few former team mates at Duncannon High School. "Harmon Smith was the BEST football player and all around athlete EVER to come from Duncannon, PA." I thought his children would appreciate knowing this. Please accept our sincere sympathy at this very difficult time. RIP Mr. Smith

Mr. Smith was an awesome teacher. I only had him my sophomore and senior years. I graduated in 1990. I wasnt very fond of school but, going into his class was always a pleasure. Knowing that I had to go into his class was the high point of my day. His personality was what I looked forward to every day. He was so memorable and every time I think of him I smile. I am so sorry for his family for losing such a wonderful man.

Rest in peace Mr. Smith, gym class was the best. Former student of the class of 1987.

He was a wonderful teacher and coach. Solid guidance and direction. Was respected and well liked.

I was a student of the teacher, a player for the coach, a collaborator with the person and a neighbor of the man. I have warm thoughts of Wilmont and his family. He now has a well deserved eternal rest. My prayers are with the family in there loss.

Mr. Smith was a major figure in the good times and memories I have for my time at Stroudsburg High. He was stellar. As President of the Class of 1985, we offer our sincerest condolences.

Our family sends heartfelt condolences to the family of Coach Smith. I had the pleasure of playing baseball for Coach for 4 years. Our sons and grandchildren enjoy playing the game he loved, and I would tell them about my HS Baseball Coach.
