I met Carter, in the 70's, when I worked for Volkswagen of America, Inc., and he worked next door, at Lipton Corporation, in Englewood Cliffs, NJ. He, Bill Brown(Executive Director of The Bergen County Urban League), and I collaborated on many Projects to enhance the "Quality of Life", of many Afro-Americans, in Bergen County New Jersey. This was a time when celebrating MLK's Birthday was frowned upon by many Corporations and Bigots. He understood that Self Determination of Afro-Americans was needed, before you could ask other Ethnic Groups for help, in acquiring Equal Opportunity . I am glad he kept his "Community Outreach" attitude with the NAACP. He talked It, and He walked It. My condolences to the Family. He set a High Mark. Rest In Peace, My Friend.

You are one of a kind and unforgettable. To experience you, one can't help but love you. My life is better because I knew you. You treated me like I was one of your children and will always be my 2nd dad.
Love,
Your other daughter
