In memory of

Wilson Joseph "Willie" Mercado

Add memories that will last forever

Not sure what to say?

I went to junior high with Wilson. I can tell you this.... noooobody messed with Wilson, and he was respected for this. I remember him as having an easy-going personality.

We were messaging back and forth through Classmates. I sent the last message but never heard back from him. I'm not pushy and I waited knowing we're all busy and have lives, but it had been a while so I thought I do an internet search with his name and sorry to have found his passing.

I don't say "Rest in Peace" because I believe we leave the body and become pure energy, keeping our essence and consciousness and memories and reunite with the light.

My condolences to his family and his close friends. I truly hope his last years were very good ones.

I grew up with Willie in Dorchester. I am sad to hear of his passing.
I have an old photo of Willie with some of our Dot friends. Probably around 1969-1970. He will be missed.

When I first met him or at least my latest memory of him. My family and I were traveling to go on a cruise and camp in the keys with cousins. One of our stops was to see Tio Wilson he let us swim in his pool and I remember him being so cool. I wish I had more memories of him but I´m grateful to have met him when I did.

I met Willie in the mid 70's In Dot where I was a DJ at the 1310. We became fast friends and shared an apartment together. Many great times together. We lost contact for many years until I recently found him on Facebook. We saw each other when he was up here in Boston for a wedding in October 22. So glad this happened. He was a good man and a solid friend. Rest well Willie. See you on the other side.
