Dear Mary and Karn - it is with great sadness that I learn of your mother´s death. She was my therapist. She did nothing less than save my life. With her help, I changed the trajectory of my life and healed places that were hemorrhaging. I don´t know where I would now be without her help and insight. She was a gift to me and I will be forever grateful to her.

Dear Mary, I was so sad to stumble on this notice of the loss of your beloved mom after all these years. I still have the silver earrings she gave me to mark our high school graduation in 1978, and so many wonderful memories of her support and compassion during the years we were friends and I spent so much time with you in your warm and loving home. In many ways your mom mothered me too at a time of need and I will never forget her. I send my deepest condolences to you and Karn and your families on such a loss. I have no doubt Winnie left a lasting mark on many, many people in her time on the earth.
I relocated to Seattle more than half a life ago but I do still visit my sister Crista regularly. Maybe we could reconnect sometime... it would be wonderful to catch up on our lifetimes! In the meantime, I hope that all your cherished memories of your mom and your strong faith and family love around you offer you comfort in this time of loss.
Take good care!

Dear Mary and family, I stumbled upon this obituary because I was intrigued by the picture of your mother, not knowing who she was. I sensed something special about her with her warm smile and long braid resting on her chest. Come to find out she was your mother! What an incredible life she led. But even more so what an incredible daughter she raised! I will always remember your kind and caring touch as a teacher to little ones and their mothers, me! The early years of childraising are exciting, fun, exhausting, and difficult. You made it all the worthwhile every Tuesday morning. Keeping you and your family in prayer. With love, Mary Hatton xo
