Winnie was a great friend and she will be missed. I have so many memories over the last 30+ years - starting at Gulf, then so many years at Casey's, all the crazy fun nights listening to her favorite country band, and Mrs. Stark's parties with the best macaroni salad ever. She was strong and got through the losses of her parents and brothers, and pushed through all of her health issues, without letting it all get to her. We lost touch over the last years, but she was the kind of friend that makes time and distance unimportant. We could have met at the next firehall dance and it would have seemed like we just saw each other last week.
