I truly am at a loss for words. My heart sunk when I discovered this sad news. It was just months ago I literally saw you at Half Note Lounge seemingly enjoying yourself. We didn't even speak to one another, but you stared and I am pretty sure it was you. Sorry we lost touch. Life circumstances led to a change in direction for both of us. I only wish for you eternal rest, peace, and happiness in God's Kingdom. Thank you for crossing my path and the years of friendship past. You are and surely will be missed

I was looking for you on Facebook today and saw that your page said "REMEMBERING". My heart immediately sank and I began my search online for an answer and my worst fear was true. You have passed. I will miss you dearly Winston. We had a wonderful friendship and I regret not keeping in touch more often as you requested. We must not let life get in the way of people who are important to us. You do not know this but a particular conversation we had taught me to be vigilant in seeking out the things I want in life and you taught me how to "get things done". It took me years but when I finally did what you told me to do I remembered you and now I wanted to tell you thank you! I always thought you were being hard on me but you were just being straightforward. Thank you. I will miss you and I loved you dearly as a person. The world is a little sadder now that you are gone. I still can't believe I am just finding this out now. RIP my friend. You were a brilliant person

Winston shopped in my store, Beyond Comics, for years and I never saw him without a smile on his face. He was the kind of customer that made my job worth showing up for.

I am still in shock to hear of Winston's passing. I worked with him for several years. He was always very positive about life and would often relay the same to me. May he Rest in Peace.

There can be no story about my life without your name appearing in multiple chapters. I still cannot believe that you are gone. They say that it is not your entry date or departure date that matters, but the dash in between. Your dash was amazing because you lived life to the fullest. Your heart was so big that we can't help but have a whole in ours due to your absence. I know if you were here you would tell me, like always, not to worry. Goodbyes are not forever, they simply mean that I'll miss you until we meet again.

A truly good man, Winston was my coworker for only 10 days. He was really excited about his new job and I expected to work with him side by side for the next 30 years. I took the pictures at his office, which could be his last before RIP. My deepest condolences and sympathy for his family.

To wake up this morning to learn of the transition of a precious classmate and brother of mine Winston Howell, is beyond shocking. That smile, I don't even have to close my eyes to see it. As time goes by, as life unfolds, as I learn and grow, I'm learning that God in His perfect wisdom, really does have the whole world in His hands. I'm learning that while we do feel loss, precious people like Winston are a treasure, greatly enriching our lives. I thank you for that Winston. I thank God for Winston, and for being able to share the time we did share. He was a tremendous gift to many especially those of us in the UHS family. Sincerest condolences to the Howell Family. I was literally caught off guard when someone said to me, "hey, Winston was your Supervisor right, did you hear about him?" And I thought that they were going to tell me that they saw you and that they had a funny story to tell or that you were doing something and such and such... I couldn't believe what they told me next, that you had passed away. Time sometimes has a way of slipping away but I will always remember you my friend. You gave me an opportunity to come and work for you and with this company and I am forever in your debt. Thank you for being who you were.

I told you that your name was way too formal for me just to call you Winston and you laughed and then you smiled...it was then that we became friends.
