I was looking for the whereabouts of Mike and unfortunately found this sad news. Mike was an important part of my early days as a young man. He was an inspiration as well as a mentor and shared employment and growth together at Columbus A/C Corp. Good memories of Mike, mutual friends from Watterson, and you Chris. Our condolences, Bill and Chris Nixon

It was so sad to hear about the passing of Mike. You have all been like family since well before I came along. There were so many stories that my parents spoke of about "Callahan", or the many vacations we took as kids. My father regarded Mike as one of his best friends. I always considered you as family. May he rest in peace.

Dear Chris, Kelly and Karin,
We are very sorry to hear about Mike's passing away. We loved Mike like family and will miss him dearly. We always looked forward to seeing Mike, and enjoyed our get togethers and had lots of fun with Mike and a lot of laughs. I have great memories of going to Boca Grande with you guys and the Burkhardts when we were kids. Joe and I also have great memories of our trip to Europe, visiting when we would come to Florida, and when you and Mike came to our wedding in Colorado. I'm attaching some pictures of the good times shared with Mike. We are blessed to have known Mike and had him in our lives. We will miss seeing his smiling face. May he rest in peace.
Love, Melissa Miller, and Joe and Ava Antolinez

On behalf of the Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA) I wanted to pass along our deepest condolences. Mr. Callahan was true HVACR industry champion, working both on the state and national level to fight for contractors. He, along with six other contractors in Ohio, came together to form what is now known as the Air Conditioning Contractors of Ohio (ACCO) over concerns about mechanics lien laws. On the national level Mr. Callahan served on ACCA´s Board of Directors in the 1980s and as ACCA Chairman of the Board in 1988.
After his time on ACCA´s Board he introduced the concept of flat rate pricing to the HVACR industry. Over the years this concept revolutionized how contractors sold their services and became more profitable. Mr. Callahan was an impressive business coach for many contracting companies across the United States.
ACCA is sadded by this loss and will forever be in debt for Mr. Callahan´s generosity within the HVACR Industry...he was a great example of someone who truly walked the walk and talked the talk when it came to fighting for what was in the best interest of contractors. Losing such a significant force leaves a hole in our industry that will not quickly be filled.
Prayers to you and your family.

Chris, Kelly and Karin, you know how much Mike meant to me. He was my mentor, and entered my life when I needed a father figure since I lost my Dad a couple of years before. He guided me as a father who cares about his kids. He was tough on me and I´m a better person today because of his tough love. He didn´t critique me to knock me down, but to be a bigger person. I appreciate that but also the laughter, the philosophical conversations we had, the dreams we shared made every meeting a growth experience. I´m a better man because I knew him. He will be missed, but not forgotten. Love you my friend. May you Rest In Peace.
