Mrs. Wylene Morris, age 81, of Canton, GA died November 5, 2012. Wylene (Meme to all her grandchildren) was born in a small south Alabama town just outside Dothan. In her twenties she moved to New York to pursue a career in modeling. Her glamorous movie star looks led to a successful career. Following her days in New York, she spent time in Atlanta, New Orleans and West Palm Beach areas raising her family, all while enjoying the finer things in life and staying closely connected to the community art scene. Wylene?s career ended with J.C. Penney?s where she worked for 20 years as an award-winning interior designer. Her trademark ?everything has to be in balance? kept all her clients satisfied and kept her in the Million Dollar Membership. Wylene was an Associate Member of the American Society of Interior Designers. She was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution ? Palm Beach Chapter and the Atlanta Young Matrons Circle for Tallulah Falls. Wylene was a loving, caring, giving person who will be forever and deeply missed by her husband, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and siblings. She is survived by her husband, John; daughters, Monica Morris, Julie Budnik and son, Dr. Clifford Morris; sister, Sue Bailey; brothers, Marcus and Earl Armstrong; and was predeceased by her brother, Howard Armstrong. Also surviving her are grandchildren, Kristen Byron, Justin Morris, Ben Morris, Jordan Budnik and Brooke Budnik; and great-grandchildren, Mac Morris and Olivia Byron. Wylene will always be remembered for her ?light-up-the-room? personality, edgy sense of humor, her exceptional strength of character, patriotism, courage and devotion to her family and friends. A memorial service for family and close friends will be held Friday, November 9 at 2:00 PM in the chapel at Hospice Atlanta. In lieu of flowers, Wylene asked that donations be made to the Salvation Army to feed the hungry. A.S. Turner & Sons Funeral Home & Crematory, Decatur, GA.

Wylene was a very special "lady" - I loved her dearly and Dud and I have fond memories of good times with she and John and Sue and Bill. Nobody has ever had such a gorgeous smile and fabulous laugh. She was my friend! I just know she, Howard and Bill have been having a great reunion this week! Our hearts are with all the family --she will be missed for sure - forgotten - NEVER!

Thinking of all of you with fond memories of Wylene. Indeed, she could light up a room with her vibrant and caring personality. She had a knack for making one feel so special and so important to her. We are so grateful for the opportunity to see her at our family reunions in recent years. She will be missed by many, including her relatives in Henry County, Alabama. Love and hugs to each of you as you remember her; and may God bless you with peace and comfort as you learn to live without her presence in your lives.
