Wynona D’Amour Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Apr. 11, 2024.
Obituary:

Wynona "Wynnie" Rose D'Amour, age 1, of Wilmington, Delaware, passed away on February 16, 2024. She was born on December 29, 2022, bringing immeasurable joy and love into the lives of her family. Wynnie's radiant smile could light up any room, and her playful spirit touched the hearts of all who knew her.

Wynnie was a delightful child who adored making her parents laugh and showcasing her legendary belly dance moves. Her love for peanut butter bambas and the movie Ponyo was unmatched. She found solace in snuggling, bath time, and exploring the outdoors, especially among the trees. Above all, Wynnie cherished the time spent playing with her beloved family.

She is survived by her mother, Brittny, and father, Christian, as well as her maternal grandparents Kimberly (Nono) and Tracy (Papaw) Price, paternal grandparents James (Papi) and Lynn (Gigi) D'Amour, maternal great grandmother Beatrice Price, Uncle Jakub (Jaybub) and Aunt Sarah (Rah) Price, Uncle Joshua (Ja) Price and Ashlynne (Shin) Horn, Uncle James D'Amour, Uncle Matthew and Aunt Kseniya D'Amour, cousins Eva and Emmy Price, and Opal Horn-Price. Wynnie will also be deeply missed by extended family who adored her dearly.

A ceremony to celebrate Wynnie's life will be held Saturday May 11, 2024 at the Delaware Center for Horticulture, located at 1810 N Dupont Street, Wilmington, DE 19806. Visitation will take place from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, followed by the ceremony at 1:30 PM. In honor of Wynnie's vibrant spirit, attendees are asked to wear colors for remembrance, as black is reserved for mourning. Purple, Wynnie's favorite color, is a fitting choice for those who wish to pay tribute to her.

Prior to the service, guests are invited to listen to Feist and the Sesame Street song "1,2,3,4," as the lyrics will be shared during the ceremony for everyone to sing along in remembrance of Wynnie's favorite song.

Wynnie's departure has left a void in the hearts of all who knew her, but her memory will forever shine brightly in the lives of those she touched. Her family still feels her love in the warmth of the sun, the wind blowing the leaves of trees, the colors of rainbows, the sound of snow falling, and rain storms created when she runs on waves to visit everyone she loves.

One of my best memories with Wynnie is when she and Chris came over to Springers for games, and somehow Amy had so many toys for her! Wynnie was fascinated by Joules and her mustache, and grabbed it so tight and with such gusto, but Joules didn´t yelp or bite or anything. From then on it was Joules doing avoidance maneuvers and Wynnie the lil grabby hands speedster trying to get to her. Lindsay and Amy went into distraction mode, but it was so fun! Love that little girl and her whole family.
