Yan Gruzdov Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Dec. 9, 2024.
Yan Gruzdov passed away on November 11th, 2024 at the age of 41 years old in Jacksonville, Florida. Born in Saint Petersburg, Russia on July 2nd, 1983, Yan immigrated to the United States in 1995 with his family. He found his home in Brooklyn, New York and Mableton, Georgia, and lastly Florida.

Yan attended James Madison High School in Brooklyn, New York. He was a hard-working, energetic and skilled laborer who worked in different environments ranging from Patak Meats in Austell, Georgia to various construction and handyman jobs.

Yan challenged and strengthened his Christian faith at God Will Provide Life Change Centers where he had the opportunity to meet new brothers and sisters in Christ. The Life Change Centers provided Yan with the opportunity to live and serve in California, Texas, Ohio, and Florida.

Yan had a light-hearted, open-minded, charismatic personality and glowing contagious smile. Throughout his years, Yan lived in the moment and made friends from all walks of life. He found joy and beauty in the simple pleasures and freedoms of his everyday existence. Yan enjoyed traveling to new places and made friends from many corners of the world. He is described as kind and generous by those closest to him.

Yan is survived by his mother Angela Gruzdov and father Nikolay Gruzdov along with four sisters, Angela, Marta (Jake), Anastasia, Elizabeth, and two nieces, Aurora and Sophia. Yan will be missed dearly and remembered by his family, friends, and all the furry friends made along the journey.

The family wishes to thank God Will Provide Life Change Centers and Orlando Union Rescue Mission for his tender care.
