Yan Ming Li

If I remember correctly, Yan Ming and I sat next to each other in 1966-1967 class which is the equivalent of Grade 9 in US high school. In those days, high school seating plan was fixed once assigned on semester beginning. Grade 9 is arguably the beginning of intellectual development of youth that his/her talent and aptitude on academic will surface. Yan Ming was reading mathematics books above Grade 9. He also shared with me his reading on philosophy which were not prevalent. We lost connection after 1969 but reconnected in recent years and was planning to meet again for the 200th anniversary of our high school in Dec 2018. He did not make the trip. The rest is now history.
I miss Yan Ming.
