Dear Betty,
I remember fondly our time together in Edmonton, so many years ago. If Jack were alive he would join me in sending condolences. Our time in Edmonton was a time of good friends and many happy dinners. Jack had a very high opinion of Yasushi.

Dear Betty, Atsushi, and Hiro,
We were very sad to hear about Yasushi's passing. Our deep condolences to you.
We fondly recall how, long ago, when we first met in Dublin, he would drop in to our flat in Sandymount Green and listen
with us to classical LPs. Our first record player was a gift from Yasushi. And later, in Edmonton, so many fond memories of evenings with him and you all. He was a good friend. He will be missed.

Dear Betty,

I felt very sad to hear about Tak. I'm sure I'm not the only one. A close and warm friend and certainly not least a great physicist. My deepest condolences.

I wish to offer condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of Dr. Takahashi.

Yasushi Takahashi has his own Wikipedia article (though someone who knows him well should update and add to it), which refers to another Wikipedia article on the famous Ward-Takahashi identity that he co-discovered. When I Googled this, I found the astounding number of "About 2,890,000 results," including a YouTube lecture as the second entry. He was certainly a star of our Physics Department and will be sorely missed.

In sympathy,

Dear Betty, Atsushi, Hiro and Yi Fen,
It is with great sadness that I received the message of Dr.Takahasi's death. Although we have been out of touch for quite some time,I think about all of you frequently and cherish the very happy memories of the time we spent together. Although the years have gone by,I have wondered whether he continued to do well following our interaction during his treatments at the CCI.
It was, indeed, a joy and a privilege to have known him and I will always remember his keen sense of humour along with his infinite knowledge and wisdom. Please accept my deepest sympathy and condolence at this time.
Nappu.

Dear Betty,
Wendy and I are thinking of you and your family. I admired Yasushi very much and am sad that he has passed away. He made such a contribution to physics and to the University of Alberta. It made me very proud to be his colleague.
