Yechiel was the principal at Shaar Hashamayim where I was a student. I will always remember his kindness, and the wonderful memories sitting at his family's seder table during Pesach. My deepest condolences. May he be remembered in the Book of Life.

Dear Mena and Glustein family,
Please accept our sympathy in this moment of sorrow.

We first met Yechel in early 1975 when our oldest son Joseph joined the Sunday Kindergarden. Soon, Yechiel got all of us involved in Shaar programmes. I also became President of the Shaar Hebrew School and worked closely with Yechiel for many years. Yechiel was there holding our youngest son on his brit and was years later a witness for his ketubah.

May HaShem bring consolation to the mourners of Zion.

I haven't seen Yechiel for perhaps close to sixty years can you believe. We lost touch as our paths diverged

But I do remember him fondly.from our summers at Camp Massad, We had good times together as we joked about our various duties and experiences

To Mina and the rest of the family my sincere condolences

Dear Glustein family. I worked for Mr. Glustein as a counsellor on the Herzliah trip in 1985. I later replaced him (if that were really possible!) as Rosh kevuza in 1988 when he retired from the trip. I remember him as a dedicated person...devoted to Israel, Zionism and his family. He sought to share these values with every student on the Herz trip for years. I will remember him as a great man who I respected. My sympathies to his family on this devastating loss.

There are no words that I can accurately use to describe Yechiel. I can only say that he opened his home to me, always made me feel welcome, never judged anyone, and was in his happiest state while he was explaining and teaching me anything that had to do with his views of humanity. Yechiel, along with Mena, are one of the finest families that I have ever encountered. He was family as far as I was concerned. He was many other things, but one of the memories was that he was the head of Junior Congregation at Shaare Zion in Montreal, the school where two generations of my family attended. It didn't take any thought for me to jump on a flight to NY in order for me to pay my utmost respects at his son Yitz's home in Brooklyn. I will always have a special place in my heart for Yechiel.

Yechiel was a one in a million. when you needed him he was there. I remember him helping us deliver and pack Rosh Hashana and Passover baskets, and getting others to help us deliver the many baskets we had . When he was the montreal director of B'nai Brith Canada. you can always count on his opinion to be the right one.
We will miss him but we're glad to have known him. He will be missed. We wish Mina a long and healthy life.

Yechiel was my teacher, mentor, and most of all friend. He had a huge influence on my life. Our years working together were creative and exhilarating. Most of all, he was a true menche. I will miss him.
May G-d heal you amidst all the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem

"The Glu" left an indelible memory for so many of us at the Shaar. My own children go to a Jewish day school and I can actually help them with their homework! The Shaar was an excellent after-school Hebrew school, largely thanks to Mr. Glustein. Mrs G was a sweet Bat Mitzvah teacher and I send my sympathies and warm wishes to the family. Sincerely,

Dear Glustein family,

Yechiel was in charge of the youth programmes at the Shaar when I led Junior Congregation. I will always remember him as a decent and dedicated man who did much to keep the youth of the congregation engaged. My deepest condolences

Dear Glustein family

Many yars ago, I was a Hebrew School student at Montreal's Shaar Hashomayim Synagogue. One of my more memorable teachers was a Yechiel Glustein. He was a fine man.
May you all receive God's comfort, and take pride in the knowledge that Mr. Glustein leaves 'a good name!

Gloria,[whom Yechiel taught at Shaar Shomayim Synagogue in Montreal] and I [remembering our many years together at Camp Massad] will always have fond memories of his warmth, generosity of spirit and devotion to his family, his friends, his students and to Eretz Yisrael and Klal Yisrael.
