We will missed Ms. Yolanda Fernández de Cofiño's presence and her many contributions to her community as a businesswoman who ran the first McDonald’s franchise in Guatemala and wanted children to enjoy as she invented the Happy Meal. May the love and the special memory you shared and cherish with her show just how much your life was touched by her. May you find comfort in your wealth of fond memories together with Ms. Yolanda Fernández de Cofiño. Yolanda made millions of kids happy, and her works on this planet continue.

So many smiles came from this amazing invention. My heart goes out to the Fernandez de Cofino family, may you all draw comfort and strength from God to help you through this very difficult time, truly sorry for your loss.

The Happy Meals were a staple with my children growing up. It was amazing to see the joy in my children's eyes when we drove to our local McDonalds for a Happy Meal lunch. My grown teens now say it was one of the happiest childhood memories for them.
