Yolanda A Ferzoco

FERZOCO, Yolanda A. (DiGrappa) Age 97, passed away peacefully, at home surrounded by family after a brief illness.

Born in Maynard, Massachusetts, Yolanda was the daughter of Italian immigrants Luigi and Concetta (Campanelli) DiGrappa.

While attending the University of Massachusetts Amherst, Yolanda met her beloved Husband, David Ferzoco. They moved to Millis in 1955, where the Ferzocos planted their roots. They remained happily married, running Daveyo Inc. together until his death in 1986.

An active member of the Millis community, Yolanda served as a poll worker for many years. She was loved by everyone who was lucky enough to cross paths with her.

In 1996, Yolanda's first grandchild was born and she took on a new role, Nonnie- taking care of all 7 of her beloved grandchildren and seeing them off into the adult world.

A devout Catholic, Yolanda was a dedicated parishioner of St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Millis for 60 years until eventually finding her new home at St. Jude in Norfolk.

She is survived by her children: Susan, Alex and his wife Pamela, Mark and his wife Lisa, and Jeff. She also leaves her seven grandchildren: Nicole, David, Natalie, Maria (Mia), Dean, Carla and Mark(Buddy); her great-grandson Connor (CJ), forty-one nieces and nephews, and countless great nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her older brother Frank DiGrappa of Denver, CO.

Along with her husband, David, she is predeceased by her brothers: Joe, Jerry, and Tino DiGrappa and her sisters Silvia Hodge and Mary Ganong.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Jude Church, Main Street, Norfolk, MA on Friday, September 26, 2024, 10:00 AM, followed by Burial at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Millis. Visiting Hours will be held Thursday September 25th from 3-7 pm at Roberts Mitchell Caruso Funeral Home, 15 Miler Street, Medfield, MA 02052. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorial donations in Yolanda's name to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, The Michael J Fox Foundation, or the Joslyn Diabetes Center.
