Yolanda DiFilippo Johnson, age 89, of Kennett Square, died Monday March 12, 2007 at the Chester County Hospital. She was the wife of the late Martin V. Johnson who died in 1991 and with whom she shared 45 years of marriage. Born in Springdel, PA she was a daughter of the late Michael and Anna DiPaolo DiFilippo. In her early years Yolanda worked as a dental Assistant for Dr. Sam Rizzotte. She later worked for MGA Mushroom Canning Company and was the first Union Shop Steward. She was a life member of St Patrick Church in Kennett Square. She enjoyed cooking, knitting, puzzle books and especially her grand daughters. Survivors include: One Daughter; Patricia A. DeFazio and her husband Michael of Kennett Square One Brother: Michael DiFilippo of Kennett Square, Four Sisters; Rose Peslio of West Chester, Elvera Hallman and Marie Leone of Kennett Square, and Mildred Jordan of Yorklyn DE. Two Grand daughters; Jamie and Laura DeFazio of Kennett Square. In addition to her husband she is pre deceased by one son Martin �Stevie� Johnson. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10AM Friday March 16, 2007 at St. Patrick Catholic Church 212 Meredith St. Kennett Square. Friends and family may call from 7-9 PM Thursday March 15th at the Kuzo & Grieco Funeral Home Inc. (610-444-4116) 250 West State St. Kennett Square, PA 19348 and from 8:30 to 9:30AM the day of the service. Contributions in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society 92 Reads Way New Castle DE, 19720.
