Yvonne Kay Hansen

September 18, 1937 - July 11, 2025

Yvonne Kay Hansen, age 87, passed away peacefully on July 11, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on September 18, 1937, Yvonne lived a life full of love, strength, and unwavering dedication to her family. She first married Keith Youngdell, with whom she had four beautiful children. Though their paths eventually diverged, that chapter brought her the joy of motherhood.

On November 11, 1978, Yvonne married the love of her life, Dean Gordon Hansen. Together, they built a life filled with laughter, companionship, and devotion. After retiring, they spent several wonderful years in Meadview, Arizona, before returning to Salt Lake City, Utah, where they lived out the rest of their days together in happiness.

Following Dean's passing, Yvonne was sealed to him for time and all eternity in the Jordan River Temple-an expression of her deep faith and enduring love. She was a faithful disciple of Jesus Christ, and her testimony was evident in the way she lived and served those around her.

Yvonne was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. She was also a cherished sister to her beloved siblings. Her family was her greatest joy, and her legacy of warmth, kindness, resilience, and love lives on in each of them.

She is survived by her children: Carol (Steve) Pierce, Debra (John) Weber, Rhonda Jensen, and Randy (Chareese) Youngdell; her siblings: Lorraine Stafford, Richard Odle, Barbara Kaddas, and Robert Odle; eight grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and another great-great-grandchild on the way.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dean Hansen; her sisters, Diane Pierce and Arlene Sanders; and two great-grandchildren, Dallan Pierce and Reev Youngdell.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to Inspiration Hospice-especially her nurse, Jolene-and to the team at IHC Coronary Intensive Care Unit for their compassion and attentive care in her final days.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Meetinghouse, located at:

7825 W Sharon Drive

Magna, UT 84044

You may pay your respects to the family prior to the funeral from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m.

Yvonne's love, strength, and spirit will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
