Yvonne Lime

Yvonne Glee Lime Fedderson, the American film and TV actress who later devoted her life to child advocacy and co-founded the major nonprofit Childhelp, died January 23, 2026, at the age of 90.

Born April 7, 1935, in Glendale, California, Lime graduated from Glendale High School before training at the prestigious Pasadena Playhouse. A performance there in "Ah, Wilderness!" drew the attention of talent scouts and launched her acting career.

Lime worked steadily in Hollywood and on television from 1956 through 1968, appearing under the professional name Yvonne Lime. Her success rose with small but memorable roles, including in the 1956 dramatic film "The Rainmaker" alongside Burt Lancaster and Katharine Hepburn, and the 1957 horror cult favorite "I Was a Teenage Werewolf," in which she played Arlene Logan opposite Michael Landon. It was one of several pulp films in which she starred; others included "High School Hellcats" and "Dragstrip Riot."

She also appeared with Elvis Presley in "Loving You" and had numerous television credits, including a recurring role on "Father Knows Best" and appearances on "The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet," "The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis," "The Andy Griffith Show," and "Gomer Pyle, U.S.M.C."

In 1969, shortly after retiring from acting, Lime married television producer Don Fedderson, known for producing "My Three Sons," "Family Affair," and "The Betty White Show." She later served for more than 30 years as president and CEO of Don Fedderson Productions, managing the rights to many classic television programs.

In 1959, Lime and longtime friend Sara O'Meara co-founded International Orphans, Inc., the organization that evolved into Childhelp, one of the leading national nonprofits dedicated to the prevention and treatment of child abuse. Under her leadership, Childhelp expanded its services nationwide, helping more than 14 million children and families through treatment centers, advocacy programs, and the Childhelp National Child Abuse Hotline.

Her work drew tributes from peers. Childhelp CEO Sara O'Meara called her "my dearest friend and my partner in this mission for more than six decades," continuing, "Her compassion, strength, and belief in the power of love shaped Childhelp from its earliest days."

Childhelp celebrity ambassador John Stamos said, "Her smile, her warmth, and her fierce unwavering dedication to protecting children left an imprint on my heart and on the world. Through Childhelp, she helped save and protect millions of children who never would have had a voice without her. That is not just a legacy, it is a living miracle."
