Fern was an exquisite embodiment of light and love—a blessing to this earth & all plants, animals, and humans who were graced by her presence. It was an honor to have Fern’s light shine on me. I am gardening today with their memory in my heart. May all of us continue to find ways to feel the joy he shared.

We are heartbroken with you all and sending our love and care. So many years and so many memories, Zack/ Fern was always loving, inspiring, fun - a gifted teacher about the natural world , we learned so much from him always. Grateful to have had him in our lives. He will be with us always.
