Zachary D. Len

Zachary D. Len, 24, died on Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2014, at his home in Bridgewater, N.J.
A funeral service will be held today, Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014, at 2 p.m. from the Bridgewater United Methodist Church. Cremation is private. Visitation was held yesterday at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung, N.J. To send condolences, please go to www.higginsfuneralhome.com.
Zachary was born in Plainfield, N.J., and had lived in Bridgewater for most of his life.
He was a graduate of Bridgewater Raritan High School, Class of 2007. He attended Monmouth University and Brookdale Culinary College.
He was a past member of the Bridgewater United Methodist Church Youth Group.
Zachary began working at the checkout at Wegman's at age 16, and worked his way up to chef in the prepared food section.
He was a huge N.Y. Rangers fan and enjoyed playing golf. He was an avid ice hockey player and played travel ice hockey from 1995 to 2004. He also played for Bridgewater High School and Monmouth University. He most recently played for a men's league team, The Vudoo.
Zachary is survived by his mother, Deborah (Demcsik) Len; his father, Gary Len and his wife, Nell Jackson; his sister, Katie Len; his maternal grandfather, Daniel Demcsik; his paternal grandmother, Olga Len; his aunts and uncles, Diane and Lanny Spotts, and Robert and Jennifer Len.
