When I was small,
Everyday, you went to work, and mom was busy on the farm.
And I sat on the porch with my puppy as my companion,
I learned how not to be lonely.

When I was in elementary school,
You told me once, that education was the utmost priority in life.
I learned how to study hard.

When I was in high school,
You often said, prudence allows for long sailing.
I learned how to be extra careful.

When you argued with mom,
You always said, a peaceful family makes everything pleasant.
I always remember the importance of a happy family.

I once wrote on a scenic photo, that though the setting sun is beautiful, twilight is close.
You told me that I was too young to write that.
Your criticism always motivated me, enabling me to face any difficulty.

Dad,
Your teachings were like a set of keys,
Opening the doors to success in careers and families for generations.

Dad,
Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Dad,
Rest in peace. Your spirit will always be within our hearts!

Son, Steve Wu
