Zuri Bass-Dunaway Obituary
Zuri Lashawn Bass Dunaway entered this world on May 12th, 2023, at St. Ann's Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, bringing joy and love to the lives of her parents, Janise Bass and Miles Dunaway. Tragically, our beloved Zuri departed from this world on Thursday, December 21st, at the tender age of seven months, leaving a profound void in the hearts of those who cherished her.
Zuri will forever be remembered for the light she brought into the lives of her family. That light created an atmosphere of warmth and love that will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her. Zuri was truly our Miracle Child! Though her time with us was brief, the impact of her presence will resonate in our hearts eternally.
She is survived by her grieving parents, Janise, and Miles, as well as her adoring sisters Zoey and Mylee, and her cherished brother, Miles Jr. Zuri's memory will be forever treasured by her grandparents, Rhonda Bass, Vaughn (Tami) Bass Jr, Nicole Dunaway, and David T Di Lauro, as well as her great-grandparents, Beverly (Robert) Kimber, Tommy L Johnson, Sherlene and Vaughn Bass Sr, and Great-Great Grandmother Beulah Jones. She was preceded in death by LaVonne M Dunaway and her uncle, Marcus Lashawn Dowdell.
Zuri leaves behind a vast network of aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and friends, whom all were touched by her presence. In this time of profound sorrow, let us join together to celebrate the brief yet beautiful life of Zuri Lashawn Bass Dunaway and find solace in the memories we shared with her.
The family expresses their gratitude for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time. A memorial service to honor Zuri's life will be held at Caliman Funeral Services 3700 Refugee Rd, Col, OH 43232 on Friday, December 29th at 2 PM. We will come together to remember, mourn, and celebrate the life of a precious soul who left us too soon.
May Zuri rest in eternal peace, and may her memory be a source of comfort and strength for those who loved her.
