David Brewer Obituary
David was born on Sept. 12, 1946, in Wauseon, Ohio, to Roger and Theo (McKinney) Brewer. He graduated from Morenci High School in 1964. On July 19, 1969, he married Mary Jo Yeagley. They raised two daughters, Lisa and Kendra. As an avid businessman he worked at Parker Rust Proof in Morenci for nine years prior to opening his own business, ACT, in Hillsdale, where he worked for 12 years.
His passion included golf, more golf, watching his favorite sports teams and watching his grandchildren play sports. For those who knew him best he was an avid MSU Spartan fan, a Detroit Tigers' fan and a Lions' fan. For many years he was a member at DeMor Hills Golf Course and Hillsdale Country Club where he enjoyed golfing, good times and laughs with his great friends.
David was preceded in death by his father, Roger; and two sisters, Judith Perry and Susan Brewer. He is survived by his wife, Mary Jo; his mother, Theo; his two daughters, Lisa (Bill) Walraven and Kendra (Donnie) Alcock; his sister, Nancy (David) Stutzman; his grandchildren, Hunter Borton, Hannah Borton, Noah Walraven, Desmond Alcock, Breckin Alcock, Shamus Alcock and Ava Alcock; a brother-in-law, Myron Perry; and several nieces and nephews.
At David's wishes cremation has taken place and a private memorial service to honor him will be held at Oak Grove Cemetery in Morenci, Mich., at a later date. Arrangements were handled by the Eagle Funeral Home in Morenci.
Memorial contributions in honor of David may be made to Hospice of Lenawee, Morenci Rescue Squad or a charity of the donor's choice. Friends may share memories and words of comfort with the family online at www.eaglefuneralhomes.com.
