Reo Suydam Obituary
She was born April 12, 1932, in Adrian, the daughter of John and Iona (Hale) Melville. On Jan. 8, 1953, she married Ivan "Ike" Suydam, Jr. He preceded her in death on Oct. 5, 2011. Reo was a longtime member of the VFW Post 1584 Auxiliary. She loved her family dearly.
Reo is survived by her children, Michael (Debra) Suydam of Adrian, Terry Suydam of Tecumseh and Debra (Ron) Pickford of Rome Center; 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband Ike, she was preceded in death by her parents, a brother in infancy and daughter-in-law, Susan Dangler Suydam.
Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m. Friday, May 26, 2017, at the J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, 2959 N. Adrian Highway Adrian. Burial will follow at Lenawee Hills Memorial Park, Adrian. Visitation will be from 2 until 8 p.m. Thursday, May 25, 2017, at the J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Adrian.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the VFW Post 1584 Auxiliary. www.PurseFuneralHome.com.
