Russell E. "Rusty" Quigley

1960 - 2016

TECUMSEH - Russell "Rusty" E. Quigley, 55, of Tecumseh passed away Monday, June 27, 2016, at his home under the care of Hospice and his family.

He was born to Jack Quigley and Janice Scroggins on Dec. 25, 1960, in Adrian. He was raised by his parents Jack and Choyce Quigley.

He graduated from Adrian High School in 1980, where he lettered in football, diving and baseball. As a competitive junior shooter, he held the National Pistol Shooting Record. He attended Huntington College. Rusty loved ministering to others by volunteering at several local missions, always closing his conversations with a "God Bless You." He attended Solid Rock Church in Clinton. Rusty also helped at the Tecumseh flea market and with the Angel's Nest bird rescue in Tecumseh.

In addition to his parents, Rusty is survived by his siblings, Jacque (Eddie) Cansler of Hartford City, Ind., Shelley (Mark) LeRoy of Dover, Del., Cathy Hoberty of Carmel, Ind., Patrick (Billi Jo) Quigley of Westland, Chad Quigley of Toledo and Jeffery Scroggins of Adrian; and several nieces and nephews. He was thoroughly loved by the love of his life, Leanne Marie Nichols.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

The family would like to especially thank Hospice of Lenawee for the kindness and loving care of Rusty.
