I was born in 1977 but I got to know about Steinman in 1993 when I heard I'll do anything for love, but I won't do that... I bought the CD Bat Out of Hell 2 Back into Hell and listen to all the songs... The CD came with the songs written... I was amazed about the way Jim Steinman wrote those songs.... After that, I was hooked... My Jim Steinman collection started to built... In the 2000 I bought Bad for Good vinyl record and other records that have Jim Steinman's songs like Meat Loaf, Bonnie Tyler, Rory Rod and others singers like in Pandoras Box... I never got to meet Him... After my Dad, Steinman was my Hero... I will miss you Steinman... Fly High... We will meet someday...

My husband introduced me to Jim Steinman's work when he introduced me to Meatloaf. It was so fabulous. I don't remember anyone who can play so well. Jim, you had a gift. You are now in Heaven with my husband! Play on! R.I.P.!

Your music found a 12 year old boy, living in a remote part of Scotland who by chance heard the opening bars of Everything Louder Than Everything Else. It blew his mind. Your songs ( children) have played an integral part of my life - they have inspired crazy road trips, trips to Vienna, tracking down the Sisters of Mercy in a tent in England - as well as multiple visits to Bat out Of Hell The Musical. Jim you opened doors to Wagner & Spector and everything in between- you’re music taught me not to be afraid of standing out and for all that I thank you. Rest in Peace

Genuinely gutted you're gone Jim, you proved that songs shouldn't be realistic but also a bit cinematic and operatic. Not to mention long. And you proved yourself not only for a few years but for a few decades. RIP Jim

Never knew a heart could break without making any sound...You lead me through the darkness and let me know it’s okay to feel the pain. You brought me comfort through your music and I’ll forever hear your gentle voice through the screams. Your love was never-ending in the storms of my life and only now I hear the whispers in the echoes you left behind. You gave us your all and the gifts of your music will be played forever. This is a promise that we all will keep to honor you. I will carry you with me always. Love you Jim! Godspeed...

Hero.
Jim Steinman's music changed lives. Mine included...I learned to sing opera in my youth; but I didn't learn how to sing until Jim Steinman put words and music of his youth into a roaring rock & roll saga of how it used to be done. The Man is gonna live forever; He'll never be what he should-- You thought that he'd be bad for a little while, But know that he'll be Bad For Good!! So sorry to hear of his passing. Condolences to his Family & Friends. (The World just got a little less Cool).

Growing up in the late 70's you had to have Bat Out of Hell (first an album and then cassette). Thank you Jim Steinman for some of the greatest operatic rock songs ever written. While there were many favorites, my all time favorite is For Crying Out Loud!! He said Heaven Can Wait, I wish it waited a little longer. My deepest condolences to his family.
