Sherry Reimers Obituary
Sherry moved to Salt Lake City in 1965 and then on to San Francisco, CA where she worked in the Legal Dept. for Southern Pacific Railroad. While living in California, she met her future husband, Stephen Reimers, stationed at Moffett Field. They married on September 9, 1972, after Steve was honorably discharged from the US Navy.
Once Steve received his degree in 1974 from Foothill College, they moved to Detroit Lakes, MN, where they purchased a small hobby farm, and raised their three children, Zachary, Kristina, and Jacob. Steve taught auto shop, and once the children were in school, Sherry worked for the County Attorney.
In 1988, they moved to the Judith Mountains near Lewistown, Montana, then to Great Falls, where Steve taught at CMR until 2008, at which time they retired back to the Judiths and built their final home. They became snowbirds to Southern Utah for three winters. Sherry loved the mountains, around the world.
Sherry is preceded in death by her parents; grandparents; great-granddaughter, Layla Dawn Eccles (7/14/21-10/6/21); and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Sherry is survived by her sister, Katherine Funk of Salt Lake City, UT; three children, Zachary Reimers, Kristina (Reimers) Johnson, and Jacob (Anna) Reimers; eight grandchildren, Alexus Johnson-Eccles (Sam Eccles), Deshaun Ayers, Millani Gray, Carson Reimers, Olivia Reimers, Benson Reimers, Zoey Reimers, and Macy Reimers; and great-granddaughter, Madeline Anne Eccles.
Funeral Services will be held in Lewistown at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Saturday, December 20, 2025, 11:00 a.m. A private committal service will take place at a later date.
