ALICE WISE

VAN WERT — Alice J. Wise, age 66, of Van Wert, died Thursday afternoon, September 1, 2016, in Van Wert, Ohio. Jesus Christ is Lord to the Glory of God the Father.

She was born September 20, 1949 in Duchouquet Township, Auglaize County, Ohio, daughter of the late Charles K. Orchard, Sr. and Margaret H. Orchard who survives.

On August 30, 1970, in Van Wert, Ohio, she married William H. "Bill" Wise III, who survives in Van Wert, Ohio. She loved her family, friends and neighbors and enjoyed doing for others.

Mrs. Wise was an employee of Century Link/Sprint/United Telephone from 1968 to 1999. She was an employee of Health Pro Medical Billing from 2001-2002. She was an employee of Schneider Trucking from 2003-2009. She attended the First United Brethren in Christ Church in Van Wert where she was married. She was a 1967 graduate of Wapakoneta High School in Wapakoneta, Ohio. She was a 2001 graduate of the University of Northwestern Ohio in Lima, Ohio.

Survivors include two sons, William Harold (Erica) Wise IV of Indianapolis, Indiana and John David Wise of Van Wert, Ohio; one daughter April Alice Jean Wise of Monroe, Michigan; five grandchildren, Hallie M. Wise and Caleb G. Wise of Van Wert, Ohio; William H. "Will" Wise V, Kaitlyn C. Wise and Abigail G. Wise of Indianapolis, Indiana; two brothers William Lester Orchard of Cridersville, Ohio and Charles K. Orchard, Jr. who is deceased.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 9, 2016 at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home and Crematory at 722 S. Washington St., Van Wert, Ohio with Rev. Jody Harr officiating. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery near Spencerville, Ohio off St. Rt. 117.

Friends may call from 3:00-8:00 p.m., Thursday, September 8, 2016 at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory and one hour prior to services Friday at the funeral home.
