Andrea Taflinger Obituary
LIMA -- Andrea L. Taflinger, 54, of Lima passed away at 4:54 PM on Monday, September 2, 2024 at St. Rita's Medical Center.
She was born on June 6, 1970 in Lima, to William M. "Bill" Taflinger, who preceded her in death and Rebecca "Becky" (Keller) Taflinger, who survives in Lima.
Andrea was a 1988 graduate of Lima Central Catholic High School and received an Associate's Degree from Rhodes State College. She had worked for Midwest Plastics, St. Rita's Admitting and the Lima Public Library. She was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church. She loved to listen to political pod-casts and watch crime shows. She enjoyed watching sports, especially the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. Andrea loved to shop, draw, watch her boys play sports and ride the scary rides at Cedar Point. She also loved going on family vacations to Isle of Palms, Charleston, SC and Gatlinburg, TN.
Surviving are her mother Rebecca "Becky" Taflinger of Lima; her sons Aaron (Brooke) Kimbrough and Anthony Kimbrough both of Lima; her grandchildren Zendaya Kimbrough and Tyson Nichols; her brothers Bill (Rose) Taflinger of Lima, Steve (Melinda) Taflinger of Lima and Chris (Natalie) Taflinger of Florence, SC; her special friend Brad Goecke of Columbus Grove. Also surviving are her aunts and uncles Mary (Dave) Busick, John (Teresa) Keller, Kim (Barb) Keller, Ben (Pam Oliver) Keller and Liesl Taflinger.
She was preceded by her father William M. "Bill" Taflinger; her brother Geoff "Stan" Taflinger; her paternal grandparents William (Rosemary) Taflinger; her maternal grandparents George (Gertrude) Keller; her cousin John Barker; numerous aunts and uncles.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Sunday, September 8, 2024 at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Shawnee Chapel.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, September 9, 2024 at St. Rose Catholic Church. Father David M. Ross will officiate.
Interment in Gethsemani Cemetery will immediately follow.
Memorial contributions may be made to LCC Educational Foundation or St. Rose Catholic Church or Tunnels to Towers Foundation.
