Bernard Conner Obituary

LIMA -- Bernard L. "Ben" Conner age 72, of Lima passed away 9:09 p.m., Saturday, October 19, 2024 at home. He was born June 14, 1952 in Allen County to the late Fred and Eva (Patrick) Conner, Jr.

He married Carolyn Bunke and she survives in Lima.

Ben graduated from Spencerville in 1970 and became an autobody repair instructor for Apollo in 1979 and retired in 2009. He enjoyed NASCAR and wrestling and had been a member of the Fort Shawnee Lions Club and a leader for Boy Scout Troop 93. He was also a friend of St. Matthew Lutheran Church.

Additional survivors include a son Benjamin L. (Megan) Conner of Spencerville and their children: Benson Lee, Julianna Loraine and Janey Rae; a daughter Holly L. Conner also of Lima; and a sister Barbara (Keith) Banter of Spencerville.

He was preceded in death by a sister Carol Sue Hoffer.

The family will receive friends 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home Cridersville. Pastor Sam Payne will officiate the funeral at 11 and private burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima.

Memorial contributions may be given to St. Matthew Lutheran Church and online condolences maybe shared at BayliffAndSon.com.
