Brian Lyons Obituary

LIMA - Brian E. Lyons passed away at 11:25 a.m., Friday, April 4, 2025, at Bridge Hospice at Lima Memorial Health System after a brief illness.

He was born November 17, 1967, the youngest child of James O. and Vera E. (Marks) Lyons who preceded him in death.

He was a loving brother, uncle and great uncle. He helped raise and mentored many of his nieces and nephews, creating fun, memorable ties with them. Brian was a sci-fi and Marvel enthusiast, enjoying both immensely. He was a 1986 graduate of Columbus Grove High School.

Brian is survived by brothers: Blaine Dorn, Larry (Carolyn) Dorn, Mike (Vickie) Lyons, Jeff (Loraine) Lyons, Bob (Jane) Lyons and Jim (Robin) Lyons; sisters: Sharon (Donn) Parker, Alice (Steve) Gilroy and Debra Lyons and many nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews. Also surviving are sisters-in-law, Diana Socha and Kathy Lyons.

In addition to his parents, his is also preceded in death by sisters: Sheila Lyons, Cecile Fitzgerald and Janice Eves, and brothers: Dan Lyons and Tim Lyons; and sister-in-law, Susan Dorn.

Brian will be cremated per his request. A Celebration of Life will be at a later date.

I´m your Aunt Mary´s youngest son and one of your older cousins. I left Lima in 79´ and never returned other than to visit. Condolences to your siblings. Rest in peace, cousin Brian.
