OTTAWA – Charles E. Cox, 65, of Ottawa, passed away at 1:15 p.m. on Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at Mercy Health St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima surrounded by family. He was born on September 12, 1956 in Lima to the late Wilfred E. and Mona (Reeder) Cox. On October 4, 1975, he married Linda Rediger, who survives in Ottawa.
Other survivors include three children: Chuck Cox of Lima, Schawn (Chad) Cox of Ottawa and Shennon Coronado of Ottawa; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; four brothers; and five sisters.
He was also preceded in death by a brother, Larry Cox; and a sister, Ruth Lombardi.
Charles worked at General Motors, Defiance for 35 years. He enjoyed hunting, his dog, Buddy and loved his family unconditionally.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa with Robert Jolliff officiating. Burial will follow at Harman Cemetery, Gilboa. Visitation will be on Monday from 2 – 8 p.m. and Tuesday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
