COLUMBUS GROVE -- Cynthia Rose Anderson, 81, passed away on July 15, 2022, at her home. She was born on September 11, 1940, to Raymond Watkins and Ruby Bracy in Vaughnsville, Ohio, who have preceded her in death. On October 15, 1960, she married Edwin K. Anderson who preceded her in death on October 25, 2002.
She is survived by her children, Bart (Tina) Anderson, Jill (Ken) Maag, Joy (Mark) Diller all of Columbus Grove, Kyle (Patrice) Anderson, Quakertown, PA, and Edd (Belinda) Anderson, Beavercreek, OH. Her 26 grandchildren and 50 great-grandchildren also survive. She is also survived by her brother-in-law Mike Southward, her brothers Jerry (Marilyn) Watkins, Columbus Grove, Stephen Watkins, Shepherdsville, KY, and Angie Watkins, Brooks, KY. Cynthia was preceded in death by her son Bret Anderson, her daughter Heidi Lin, her granddaughter Kylan Rose Anderson, and her sister, Ruby Southward.
Cynthia was a lifelong member of St. John's United Methodist Church in Columbus Grove. She was a graduate of Columbus Grove High School class of 1958.
Our mother was the heart and soul of our family, always thinking and doing for others before herself. She enjoyed crocheting baby blankets for her many grandbabies, and delivering care packages to those who were sick or in need. She enjoyed attending events of her children and grandchildren. She always had great words of wisdom, and was a wonderful example of what a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and true friend should be. Her journey on earth has ended, but she will continue on into eternity with those she dearly loved who passed before her. One can only hope to be as loved and revered as our mother was when our time comes.
Friends may call Monday, July 18, 2002, from 9:00 am until time of service at 11:00 am at St. John's United Methodist Church in Columbus Grove. Pastor Kyle Thane presiding. Burial to follow in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Pandora, Ohio.

Cynthia has been my friend since we were 5 years old. I cherished her friendship. In later years, when it got hard for her to talk, we corresponded by snail mail.
Always wished she had email, or we could talk by phone, but her letters always brought her Ray of sunshine into my life. We´ve lived 700 miles away for the last 40 years, but our friendship overcame distance and time. Rest In Peace my dear friend, I´ll always love you.
