NEW CLEVELAND — Elizabeth M. "Betty" Niese, 52, of New Cleveland died at 1:50 a.m. Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at VanCrest of Holgate. She was born August 2, 1965 in Lima to the late Adolph J. and Mary Margaret (Wueller) Niese.
Betty is survived by four brothers, Tom (Peg) Niese of Miller City, Paul (Cindy) Niese of Leipsic, Daniel (Ginny) Niese and Dale (Sherri) Niese both of New Cleveland; seven sisters, Marilyn (Lawrence) Recker of New Cleveland, Elaine Niese of Columbus Grove, Barbara (Mike Ellerbrock) Niese of Kalida, Joan Niese of Ottawa, Dot Verhoff of Kalida, Daisy (Larry) Schroeder of Leipsic, and Robyn (Mike) Kohls of Columbus Grove; thirty-one nieces and nephews; and 31 great-nieces and great-nephews. She was also preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Mike Verhoff.
Betty worked at Brookhill Industry and participated in Special Olympics. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, New Cleveland. She loved the Ohio State Buckeyes, Elvis, Big Time Wrestling, coloring, and playing cards.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 20, 2017 at Holy Family Catholic Church, New Cleveland with Msgr. Charles Singler and Fr. Nick Cunningham officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. on Thursday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa where a rosary service will begin at 1:30 p.m.
