LIMA — Frances E. Rex, 95, died at 12:55 a.m. on Monday, September 4, at the Lima Convalescent Home. She was born on August 14, 1922, in Allen County to Guy and Anna Miller. On December 28, 1943, she married Paul O. Rex, who died on December 5, 1984.
Frances is survived by her two children: Paula (Tom) Riegle of Lima, Ohio and Gary (Anne) Rex of Bald Head Island, North Carolina. She helped in her church nursery, bible school, and the funeral meal committee. She volunteered at the Lima Convalescent Home doing nails for the residents. She was a very loving, friendly, caring person, and if she knew you were sick, she would make you her special egg custard to sustain you while you recovered and tell you which vitamin you should take to ease your pain and keep you healthy. She cherished all her family and friends, and the time spent with them. Their strong bond of friendship, love, and good memories has sustained her throughout her life. Frances enjoyed cooking, reading her health magazines, traveling, dancing, music, gardening and eating out. She was in her glory at her 95th birthday party, on August 14th this year, where she glowed with having the opportunity to have many of her loved ones celebrate with her. It was a joyous day!

I loved visiting her house on Spring St when I was a kid. She would always get out her bike for me to ride. She was my mother´s favorite relative. My Mom was Ilda Hamilton. I hope this gets to you as I´m just learning of her passing in 2024.
