Frank Baker Obituary

LIMA - Frank E. Baker Jr. passed into his heavenly home on January 3, 2022 at the age of 72, in Green Valley, AZ, where he recently had resided. He was born on September 25, 1949 in Lima, to the late Frank E. Baker Sr. and Bonnie O. Baker.

Frank graduated from Perry High School in 1967. He worked for J. M. Sales until he bought Allentown Carry Out. He started Four Star Carry Out and eventually started Big Frank's Rentals. He was an avid reader and read his Bible daily. He also was a diehard Cleveland Browns fan.

He is survived by his son: Warren (Stacey) Baker, granddaughter: Riley Grace Baker, siblings: Jessica (Dan Jones) Redd, Emma L. Baker, Malcolm Baker, Linda (Scott) Morris, and Brenda Germann, nieces and nephews: Colt, Misty, Tammy, Margo, Howard, Necia, Fawna, and Jayden, great-niece and nephew: Lexus Baker and Jaren Binkley, who he loved dearly, and his former neighbors and dear friends: Marty and (Bob-deceased) Smith and Karen Kohrn.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother: William "Bill" Baker.

"The true measure of a man is his deeds, not his words."

Frank Baker's deed to the world was being a vessel of hope, pillar of strength, and conveying an unwavering compassion for his family, friends, and community.

Through his tireless endeavor, Frank was able to instill many life lessons of humility, service to others, perseverance, being self-sufficient, knowing anything is possible and most importantly to dream big.

As a store owner, Frank was a consummate leader of his two stores. He treated every employee and customer with dignity and respect. As a coach for multiple sports, Frank mentored many at-risk youth throughout the city of Lima. "It doesn't matter your race, ethnicity, or financial status, it's the content of your character that matters…" Through his actions Frank showed that everyone deserves an opportunity to succeed and achieve their goals.

The measure of Frank's deeds can be seen by the success of his son, the positive impact on his community, and the key life lessons that will live on through the interactions of everyone he touched.

Frank wasn´t just our neighbor he was like family. He watched us Smith kids grow up and then enjoyed seeing our kids grow up too as they visited next door. So happy he finally got to be a grandpa if only for a short time here on Earth. He will surely be watching over his granddaughter. Love and peace to his family.

I was a neighbor to Frank while he resided in Green Valley, Arizona. We became good friends with long chats about our lives, family, the world and the love of life. I found Frank to be an honest, caring and in general, a good human being. He shall be missed by all and was so proud to become a grandfather to Riley Grace. I will miss our conversations as I always respected his opinions and outlook in life. I will miss you Frank, and I know you are making new friends in heaven as you did here in Arizona. My sincere condolences to your family. Your friend, Deb
