LIMA -- Gary Donald Lowe, 70 of Lima and formerly of Findlay passed away on Friday, December 9, 2022 at the Dayton Veterans Administration Hospital. He was born in Findlay on September 2, 1952.
Don served his country proudly in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He is survived by his daughter, Majesta Shephard of Laughlin, NV and a son, Cody Donald Lowe of Cleveland, TN. Don is also survived by his brother, Bobby (Tayna) Lowe of FL and four grandchildren; Ryan Shephard, Kyle Shephard, Landen Lowe and Andie Memphis Lowe.
He was preceded in death by his brothers; Harvey Lee Lowe Jr, Jack, Bill and Rick Lowe and a sister, Judy Burden. Don was a truck driver for many years. He was a life long member of the American Legion and was also a member of the Clingan Ridge Baptist Church in Cleveland, TN. He enjoyed boating, fishing and was an avid Ohio State and Cleveland Browns fan. Don also retired from Lanes Moving and Storage.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 16, 2022 from 4:00 – 6:00 PM at Coldren-Crates Funeral Home. A funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 17, 2022 at Coldren-Crates Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Arlington Cemetery where full military rites will be conducted by the Hancock County Veterans Memorial Squad. Memorial contributions can be made in memory of Don to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Online condolences can be expressed to the family by visiting coldrencrates.com.
